Welcome to Hate City
If you've been around the Georgia paintball scene for any length of time, you already know the name. Tallapoosa Paintball isn't just a field — it's a landmark. Tucked deep in the natural woods of Tallapoosa, Georgia, this place has been a home base for woodsball players, weekend warriors, and hardcore competitors for years.
And every year, we remind everyone exactly why this field exists: the Hate City Open.
What Is the Hate City Open?
The Hate City Open is a Ten-Man Mechanical Marker Woodsball tournament hosted right here at Tallapoosa Paintball — and it's one of the most authentic competitive events in the Southeast.
Here's what makes it different:
Format: Ten-man teams, mechanical markers only — no electros, no shortcuts
Style: WCPL (World Classic Paintball League) competitive ruleset
Paint: Tournament paint only
Setting: Real woods. Real cover. Real paintball.
This isn't a rec-ball weekend. This is competitive woodsball the way it was meant to be played — raw, strategic, and earned.
2026 Event Dates: April 18–19
📍 830 Steadman Road, Tallapoosa, GA 30176

The History of Tallapoosa Paintball
Tallapoosa Paintball was built on one idea: give players a real experience.
From the beginning, TPB was rooted in woodsball — the original form of paintball. No astroturf. No inflatable bunkers. Just Georgia timber, terrain that makes you work, and the kind of gameplay that separates serious players from everyone else.
Over the years, TPB has grown into one of the most respected paintball destinations in the state. Walk-on players come from across the Atlanta metro. Tournament teams road-trip in for events. Birthday groups, corporate outings, and seasoned competitors all find what they're looking for in the same woods.
What's never changed is the standard: industry-leading gear, a maintained field, and a 100% satisfaction guarantee. We're open every Saturday and Sunday, 10AM to 5PM, and we don't need a reservation to make it worth your time.
Why the Hate City Open Matters
The Hate City Open isn't just an event — it's a statement about what paintball should be.
In an era where recreational leagues and low-stakes formats are everywhere, Hate City is a throwback to competitive integrity. Mechanical markers level the playing field. Ten-man teams demand communication, discipline, and strategy. The woods don't forgive mistakes.
Every year this tournament grows. Every year the competition gets sharper. And every year, the players who show up understand they're not just competing — they're becoming part of something bigger.
